2. Fructose — Another Hidden Fuel

It’s not only glucose that feeds tumors. Fructose, often found in sugary drinks and high-fructose corn syrup, also plays a role.

Although most cancer cells lack the enzymes to directly metabolize fructose, the liver converts fructose into specific lipids (known as lysophosphatidylcholines, or LPCs), which tumors then absorb to build new cell membranes.

In short: excessive intake of sugary drinks doesn’t just add calories—it supplies cancer with “construction materials.”

3. The Insulin and IGF-1 Connection
